This would have pissed me off for sure. But I have to give agency credit for a smart way to reach consumers that needs a service badly. In this case, learning English!
If any of you have downloaded movies over the internet like Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead, etc. You’ll notice there are .SRT files that comes along with it. These are translated sub-titles that help you understand what is being said in the show, if you are not capable of English that is. So what Y&R did was to hijack and seed their own .SRT files on pirate sites that allowed download of these movies. The funny thing is, users would be reading a totally misinterpreted story with an end tag, directing them to learn English. Check out the video to find out more.
